Our Software Verdict

Lets clients book a call from your availability, with no email back and forth. The free plan covers a single event type.

Who Calendly is for

Calendly lets clients book a call from your availability, so you stop trading emails to find a time. It suits a consultant, coach or freelancer who takes regular calls. If you only meet a client once in a while, a simple link to your calendar may be enough.

Free plan and pricing

On the maker's pricing page, the Free plan gives you one event type and one calendar connection, with one-on-one scheduling. Standard is listed at US$10 per seat per month and Teams at US$16, both when billed annually. Our price above is converted to Australian dollars, so confirm it at checkout.

  • Free: enough for a single type of call, such as a 30-minute intro.
  • Paid: needed when you offer several call types, want reminders or payments, or connect more than one calendar. Check which plan includes each feature before you upgrade.

Getting set up

  • Connect the calendar you actually use, so busy times block bookings.
  • Create one event type with a clear name, a length and a short description of what the call covers.
  • Set your working hours, a buffer between calls and a minimum notice, so people cannot book you at the last minute.
  • Add the booking link to your email signature, your site and your proposals.

Limits to know about

The free plan covers a single event type, so a business with intro calls and paid sessions will outgrow it. Reminders and payments sit on paid plans. Seat-based pricing matters only if you add people to the account.

Alternatives

Cal.com is an open-source option with a free tier. Google Calendar has built-in appointment schedules with Google Workspace. Tally can also collect details before a call: see Tally.
