ChatGPT Plus

ChatGPT is an AI assistant for drafting, summarising and planning. It suits a solo owner who writes a lot of emails, notes and outlines and is happy to edit what it produces. It does not replace your judgement, and it is not a reliable source of facts you have not checked.

On the maker's pricing page, the Free plan allows text chats with limited messages, uploads, image creation, voice chats and deep research. Scheduled tasks are not included. Plus is listed at US$20 a month and expands those limits, adds scheduled tasks and early access to new features. There is also a lower-priced Go plan at US$8 a month and a Pro plan from US$100 a month. Both Free and Plus list an option to opt out of having your content used for training.

• Try Free first on real work, such as a client email or a meeting summary.
• Pay for Plus when you hit the usage limits regularly or need larger uploads and deep research.

• Create a Project for each client or area of the business, so related chats and files stay together.
• Write a short standing brief: who you are, your tone and what you never say.
• Start with low-risk jobs: first drafts, summaries and checklists.
• Turn on the data-control setting that suits you before pasting in anything about clients.

Output needs checking before you send it. It can state wrong figures with confidence, so verify prices, dates and legal points. Do not paste confidential client information unless you are comfortable with the data settings.
